Pole classes are our foundation. These skill-based sessions follow structured levels and clear progressions, designed to help you build strong technique, grow in confidence, and move forward with purpose.

Pole Progression

BEGINNER POLE

New to pole dancing?

​

Beginner Pole is the perfect place to start. You will learn foundational spins, transitions and introductory floor work while building strength and coordination at a pace designed for new students.

​

Skills include: basic spins, climbs, sits, crucifix, intro to spin pole, early invert prep, Jasmines, basic butterfly, leg hangs, Stargazer, and Martini variations.

​

All bodies welcome. 
No prior fitness or dance experience required.

Supportive, judgement-free space.

INTERMEDIATE POLE

Ready to build?

​

Intermediate develops inversions, stronger transitions and controlled combinations. You will refine technique, increase stamina and begin linking movements with intention.

​

Skills include: shoulder mount exits, extended butterflies, inside leg hang variations, monkey spins, Violator, Jade split, Hang Glider (overhead invert), Cupid, and upright spin tricks such as Shooting Star and Ballerina.

​

Skills also include: shoulder mount entries, overhead inverts, Ragdoll variations, Ayesha prep, Brass Monkey, Superman, Bow and Arrow, starting aerial combos, aerial inverts, Dragonfly, Spider climbs, and thread-through transitions within combinations.

​

Expect progression that feels earned and achievable.

ADVANCED POLE

Precision. Power. Control.

​

Advanced Pole focuses on aerial combinations, extended sequences and dynamic entries and exits. Technique and stamina are pushed further as you prepare for performance-level training.

​

Skills include: Handsprings (true, cup, twisted variations), Advanced aerial pathways & switches, Baby pop-outs / small dynamic pops, Early flips & controlled tumbles (with progressions), Dynamic inverted transitions, Extended flexibility shapes (Jade variations, allegra etc), Strong static rotation combos


Focus: High-level technique, power, coordinated grip changes, and complex combo building.

Course prerequisites: Must be able to Butterfly, Shoulder Mount & Aerial Invert. 

ELITE POLE

For athletes committed to excellence.

​

Elite operates under structured syllabus progression, ensuring dancers meet technical standards before advancing. Training is focused, detailed and performance-driven.

​

 Skills include:

  • Flick flacks (progressions & full execution)

  • Phoenix prep & advanced phoenix pathways

  • Elite-level flips, tumbles, drops & rotations

  • Long, complex static and spin combinations

  • Press-ups, pull-up style strength tricks, and advanced holds

  • Seamless transitions, musicality, flow, and stage presence
     

Focus: Elite athleticism, endurance, creativity, and mastery suitable for competition-level performance.

​

Course prerequisites: True & Twisted Ayesha both sides, Handspring, Aerial Shoulder Mounts, Brass Monkeys, Superman, Handstands to pole, Spider Climbs, Back Crucifix, Spinning Flare Inverts, Jade Splits, Aerial Straddles.

​

This stream supports competitors and serious performers working toward high-level goals.

Strength & technique

TRICKS & TRANSITIONS (open)

The details matter.

This class refines how you enter, exit and link tricks so your pole looks intentional and seamless. Build cleaner lines, stronger grips and smoother combinations.

BASEWORK TRICKS

Stay grounded. Get powerful.

​

Basework Tricks focuses on low-pole strength, control and creative transitions that elevate your routines.

​

You will build:

• Powerful grounded tricks
• Smooth entries and exits
• Strong lines and leg grips
• Conditioning that shows on stage
• Transitions that make combos look finished

 

Perfect for competitors or anyone wanting sharper, more polished pole.

STRETCH & CONDITIONING (open)

Progress requires preparation.

This class targets flexibility, joint mobility and pole-specific strength to support safer training and stronger tricks.

​

Suitable for all levels.

ADULT BALLET / LYRICAL (open)

Refine posture, control and grace.

​

This class supports pole dancers by strengthening alignment and developing expressive movement foundations.

​

No ballet experience required.

Lyrical Pole blends expressive choreography with technical foundations. Develop musicality, fluid transitions and emotional depth in your movement.

FLOOR FLOW (open)

Guided by ICONIC Faculty member Brett Beckhurst.

Floor Flow explores grounded choreography, musicality and performance presence. With professional experience across stage and screen, Brett brings a performance-focused approach that sharpens storytelling and artistic quality.

Our Adult Hip Hop class focuses on rhythm, musicality and confident performance. Learn choreography that challenges coordination and stamina while building stage presence and style.
